The ‘Hind-di-Chadar’ event in Maharashtra‘s Nanded commemorating the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur saw millions of devotees gather to pay tribute to the Sikh Guru’s supreme sacrifice.

The event was held at Modi Maidan and was attended by several dignitaries, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar.

CM Fadnavis said that Guru Tegh Bahadur’s sacrifice was not only for the Sikh faith but for the protection of human values, culture, and religious freedom. He added that the state government is working to spread the history of the Guru’s sacrifice to every household. The event is part of a larger effort to teach students and communities about Sikh history.

Fadnavis also highlighted the unity shown by nine communities who follow the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev.
