Shri Renuka Mata Mandir, located on a hillock in Mahur, Nanded district, Maharashtra, is a revered 800-900 year old temple built by the Yadava dynasty. It is one of the three and a half Shakti Peethas in Maharashtra, dedicated to Goddess Renuka, the mother of Lord Parashurama. The temple attracts thousands during the annual Dasara (Vijayadashami) fair.
Significance: The temple is considered a significant Shakta Pitha, where it is believed the head of Renuka Mata fell. It is a major pilgrimage site, particularly associated with the legend of Sage Jamadagni and his son Parashurama.
